Garance Doré is the embodiment of everything I want to be in my life: beautiful, successful, talented, fun, elegant, cool, just simply fabulous. Oh, and with nice hair. All of these qualities apparent through her beautifully decadent blog. I could stare at her photos and illustrations for days on end.
Oh and how amazing is her 'Pardon My French' video series? Emmanuelle Alt, Isabel Marant and Garance all in one video! Perfection has never looked (or sounded) that great. And did I mention she's been with The Sartorialist himself for the past couple of years? I think it's apparent why I chose my title for this post x

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, my beloved hero *insert sarcastic tone here* won Russia's presidential election on Sunday. And oh my god I can't believe I will say this but I think he probably did actually win and not fraud his way to victory. Of course there would be some violations but in general Putin is popular, a lot more popular than his party, United Russia. Maybe among me and my friends, who spend their time in Moscow on our iPads and travelling abroad, people have little love left for Putin; however, for a lot of Russians, especially in the rural areas, people see themselves in Putin and even people like me who think Putin is disgustingly and morally corrupt, we know it would impossible to just remove him from political life. The Western media have been spending a lot of time just focusing on electoral irregularities, acting like those have never happened in their presidential elections and instead turning themselves to the opposition. Biggest opposition party in Russia - the communists and imagine what kind of uproar would happen in the west if they had won. And then of course there are people like me, the liberals, whose leaders don't really have a lot of say about anything. In fact, the only reason I voted liberal is because it was an extra vote against Putin. And how I wish the west would stop focusing all their attention on Alexey Navalny, the man is nothing more than a xenophobe. The elections of course have not changed my view on Putin; he is still the same bandit he was before, but I can't be bothered to protest again. The Russian people have made their choice to re-elect Putin (with most of the results are transparent, although I am incredibly skeptical about the 99% in the Northern Caucuses) and I doubt that if they were poised for the presidency, Gennady Zyuganov, Sergey Mironov etc, could do a better job. All of the politicians in my country are shit.

I bought this dress from ASOS and I was really struggling to find a)some inspiration for it and b) what to pair it with. It wasn't until my grandmother bought me these shoes and my coming across this Freddy Krueger-esque hat that I immediatley knew how to wear it.
